It's my birthday, and it's DPWH's birthday, too! We're turning 45 and 10, and we want you to party with us.

This year's spring performance on June 27th and 28th, Overcoming: Together We Can, is the TENTH annual spring performance. What a milestone! I can't imagine a better way to celebrate my 45th than together with DPWH and all of the people who have helped it come to life, grow, and blossom. After all, I wouldn't be who I am today without Dance Project of Washington Heights, which means without YOU.

Just like raising a child, these 10 years of building Dance Project of Washington Heights have not been easy, but it has been INCREDIBLY rewarding and inspiring. We have overcome so many obstacles, only because we've worked together.

Every one of you has helped to create and nurture DPWH. I hope you'll come celebrate with us! Tickets are free - just bring yourself and a guest (or two) and your joy.

The luminescent Daphne-Rubin Vega, star of stage and screen, will be making a visit to DPWH to meet and speak with our students. This event is open to DPWH students only!

Daphne Rubin-Vega was the original Mimi in RENT on Broadway. She most recently starred in the Broadway production of Night at the Iguana. You have also seen her as Daniela in the movie of In the Heights.
